Insurance Update: Making Online Therapy More Accessible
At Indigo Path Collective, our vision is Wellness Everywhere — at home, work, and across communities. That means bringing care within reach no matter where you live, what kind of insurance you have, or how comfortable you are with technology. Accessibility is not about finding any therapist. It is about finding the right one for you.
Lowering the Financial Barrier
Too many people postpone or avoid therapy because of cost or insurance confusion. Indigo Path Collective removes one of the most significant mental and behavioral healthcare barriers by accepting major insurance plans.
Through our partnerships with Headway and SonderMind, Indigo Path Collective accepts most major insurance plans while maintaining the personal attention that often gets lost in large corporate-owned or franchised practices. These insurance partnerships allow smaller, high-quality practices like Indigo Path Collective to remain focused on you rather than paperwork.
If your insurance is not directly accepted, you still have options. Our partnership with Thrizer lets us help you easily check your out-of-network benefits and access reimbursement. We also continue to offer reasonable private pay rates for those who prefer to pay directly.
Expanding Access Through Technology
Technology should bring people closer to care, not create more distance. Yet some clinicians and clients still hesitate to try telehealth because of techphobia, or the fear of using digital tools for healthcare purposes, due to a lack of confidence or past difficulty.
In reality, most Americans are already comfortable using everyday technology. About 90 percent of adults own a smartphone, and roughly 80 percent say they have used video calling or conferencing through tools such as FaceTime, Zoom, or Skype (Pew Research Center, 2024; Pew Research Center, 2021).
Telehealth uses the same technology you are already familiar with. It allows you to choose the counselor who understands your experiences rather than being limited to whoever is nearby or takes your insurance plan. Telehealth is especially compelling for those who live in rural environments where therapists are more limited than in major cities.
Care Without Borders
Our Wellness Partners currently serve clients in Colorado, Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina, and Tennessee. Through the Integrated Care Collective, our professional network is expanding across the United States, helping us connect clients with trusted providers in more places every year.
Telehealth also helps us collaborate with medical providers, creating a more connected experience for you. This partnership across disciplines supports whole-person care — mind, body, and environment.
You Deserve Access, Not Limits
Access is not just about convenience. It is about connecting with the right counselor who understands your needs and supports your growth. Whether using insurance, private pay, or out-of-network reimbursement, your care should fit your life, not the other way around.
At Indigo Path Collective, Wellness Everywhere is more than a vision. Our commitment is to make therapy accessible, inclusive, and personal wherever you are.
